Parent and Family Engagement Coordinator

Parent Involvement Main Page Image

Welcome to Woodstation!

My name is Jayne Black and I am the WES Title l Parent and Family Engagement Coordinator. My primary role is to support parents and provide information on how you can be fully engaged in your child's education. I encourage you to visit our Family Resource Center (Room 120) to learn about the many ways you can be involved and how to fully participate in your child's education. There are community, parenting, and educational resources available for you to take home to help your family succeed both in and out of the classroom. I'm committed to making sure all parents have the resources necessary to feel confident communicating with teachers and staff at school. I'm looking forward to an exciting and successful year!

Stocking Full of Love

WES will be collecting new toys, books, games, etc. that will be donated to the Stocking Full of Love program to help others in our community. Students may place unwrapped items in the box on their hallway. The last day to donate will be December 13. If you feel that your family or someone you know could be helped this this Christmas by this program, please contact Mrs. Pennington, WES Counselor, or call the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office and tell them you are intersted in Stocking Full of Love.

PTO Angel Tree

Be an angel to a teacher this holiday season by grabbing a teacher wish ornament off the tree by the front office. Purchase the wish, place the wish tag back on the package, and have your child place it underneath the tree in the main hallway. PTO will deliver the packages to staff members.

Santa Shop

Santa Shop will be open for student shopping Decembeer 4-8. Item prices begin at 25 cents with most items in the $3-$6 range. PTO would love to have some extra "elves" to help with shopping and wrapping. Please let PTO know if you're interested.

Woodstation Singers

Our Woodstation Singers will be performing a Christmas Musical, No Christmas Till Brooklyn, at 7:00 p.m. on December 14 at WES. We hope you'll bring your whole family to enjoy this program together. Donations to benefit the singers program will be taken at the door.

Barnes and Noble Book Fair

Our Book Fair at the Barnes and Noble at Hamilton Place will take place December 11 and 12. Simply mention Woodstation Elementary when you make a purchase, even in the cafe, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit our school. Can't attend this Book Fair?
