Title I

Title l Information

Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) provides financial assistance to state and local educational agencies to meet the needs of at-risk children. The goal of Title I is to provide instructional services and activities which support students in meeting the state's challenging performance standards. Woodstation Elementary School participates in a Title l Schoolwide Program that provides all students at our school with supplemental resources such as additional teachers, technology, instructional materials, and a parent and family engagement program. It also provides opportunities for parents to be informed and involved in educational decisions that impact their student.

As a Title l school, Woodstation Elementary School receives additional funding through the federal Title l program. You can learn more about how we budget these funds by attending our Annual Parent Meeting and reviewing the presentation from this meeting which is located on this website. We are always seeking input about our Title l budget and would love to hear from you. You may give us your suggestions by filling out a Parent Input Card, or stopping by the Family Resource Center and speaking with our Family Engagement Coordinator. We want to hear from you!

Please use the Parent and Family Engagement link on this website for monthly updates and more information about our Title l program.

Please visit our Family Resource Center (Room 120) for resources to help you support your child's learning. Click HERE to access our online library of booklets on a variety of social, emotional, and academic topics.

Please contact Mitzi Mew, Family Engagement Coordinator, to have Title l information, community, parenting, or academic resources sent home. Paper copies are available of Title l documents upon request.
