APEX Information

We are excited to partner with APEX for an exciting school-wide experience that brings together our students, teachers, families, and PTO to support our school!

The APEX Fun Run is more than just a fundraiser. It is designed to build student leaders, encourage healthy habits, teach the value of serving others, and create a fun and meaningful experience for our entire school community.

Building Leaders Through Action At Woodstation, we believe every child has the ability to make a difference—in our school, in their community, and in the world. The APEX program gives students an opportunity to practice leadership skills while working toward a common goal.
Students will be encouraged to:
  • Set goals and work toward them
  • Encourage and support their classmates
  • Learn the value of perseverance and teamwork
  • Serve others and contribute to something bigger than themselves
  • Celebrate the success of their classmates and school
We believe that some of the best learning happens when children are actively involved and having fun. The APEX experience combines learning, movement, teamwork, and school spirit in a way that students can truly enjoy.
A Fundraiser With a Purpose
We also want this to be a hassle-free and successful fundraiser for our school and families. Rather than placing the responsibility on a small number of families to do the majority of the fundraising, APEX encourages many people to participate by giving a little. When our school community works together, everyone can help make a difference without placing a large burden on individual families.
Most importantly, we want students to understand that raising money for their school can be a positive learning experience. They are not simply asking for donations—they are learning about goal-setting, communication, responsibility, perseverance, and giving back to their school.
Our Teachers Are Part of the Team!
One of the things that makes the APEX experience so special is that our teachers have a stake in the success of their classroom teams, too!
Teachers will coach their classroom teams, encourage their students, and help them reach their goals.
This means your child's teacher has an extra reason to cheer them on, celebrate their progress, and help their class reach new heights!
We are looking forward to seeing our students work together, encourage one another, have fun, and grow as leaders. Thank you for supporting our students and our school as we make this a fun and meaningful experience for everyone!
Go Woodstation! We can't wait to see our students shine!

Everyday Info

Spill Proof Lids!

Dear Parents,

We're asking that students bring a reusable water bottle with a lid that closes tightly to school each day, with their name on it!

*WATER ONLY*

Having water readily available is important for your child's health and ability to focus in class. However, to keep our classroom and your child's belongings safe, we need to make sure we're avoiding spills. A lid that seals completely helps prevent accidents that could damage learning materials, school technology, or other students' work.

Thank you for your help in making our classroom a safe and productive learning environment for everyone!

Arrival Procedures
To ensure a smooth start to the day, please note our arrival procedures:

  • Doors open at 7:00 AM.
  • Car riders need to exit the vehicle on the right side of the vehicle to go directly to the sidewalk. This helps keep students safe and out of the drive lane.
  • Students who need breakfast can head directly to the cafeteria upon arrival.
  • After breakfast, students will proceed to the gym, where they will remain until 7:35 AM.
  • At 7:35 AM, students will be dismissed to their classrooms.
  • The late bell rings at 7:50 AM. To avoid being counted late, students should be in their classrooms by this time.
  • If your student arrives after 7:50 AM, a parent or guardian will need to come inside and sign them in at the front office.

Dismissal Procedures
Dismissal is organized to ensure every student gets home safely. Students will be dismissed as car riders, bus riders, or Star Care participants. More detailed information about Star Care is provided below.

  • Car riders will go to the gym at 2:30 PM and will be dismissed to their cars from there.
  • Please have your child enter your vehicle from the right side, directly from the sidewalk. This helps keep students safe and out of the drive lane.
  • Once your child is in the car, please have them buckle up as quickly as possible. This allows us to keep the line moving efficiently for everyone.
