November Newsletter

As November arrives, things are rolling here at Woodstation. Parents please remember that if you get your child to school after 8:00 AM we are asking you to walk them in to the building and sign them in. Getting to school on time or early helps students have a better start to their school day. Thank you for helping make the start to every school day a good one. The teachers are working hard every day to continue to provide each student a quality education. We appreciate your support in helping us accomplish this important goal.

Extra instruction is always available at Woodstation that your child can take advantage. Mrs. Karen Willis, our media specialist, opens the media center in the mornings at 7:30 – 7:50 for students to read.   We want our students to be successful at Woodstation so our teachers do a great job of offering the extra time to each student to master the standards and curriculum.

This year, our Thanksgiving lunch is designated for Pre-K and Kindergarten, and 4th grade parents on November 13th. Mrs. Phillips and our great dining room staff do a great job of preparing the best lunch, Chicken and Dressing, as well as mom makes. I hope our Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 4th grade parents can come and enjoy this special time.

Our lost and found is growing every day with jackets and articles our students are leaving at school. Parents please label your children’s jackets so we know who to return it when it is misplaced.   Our lost and found is outside our cafeteria. Please ask your child to look and make sure they have not left anything.

Please check out our website for all the latest information and teacher web pages for what’s happening in your child’s classroom. Besides your child’s agenda another great way to get information is on the Parent Portal. If you are not signed up for Parent Portal please just come by or call the school and we will give you the information on how to sig-up today.

We hope you have a great Thanksgiving break from November 23th – 27th to enjoy your family. We have a lot to be thankful for not only during this time of year, but every day we are alive. Thanks for letting us be a part of your child’s learning experience.
