Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Shorter University

After graduating college I worked at Battlefield Elementary as a 5th grade Special Education paraprofessional. For the first part of the next school year I worked as an assistant in a Georgia Pre-K classroom at a Daycare Center in Varnell. In December of 2011 I came to Woodstation to be a Kindergarten parapro. I worked with Mrs. Parker for two years in her classroom. This will be my second year teaching 2nd grade here at Woodstation.

I am originally from Trion, Ga. I graduated from Trion High School in 2005 and then went on to Kennesaw State University. I completed two years there and then transferred to Shorter University in Rome. I graduated in December of 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education.

I am happily married to my husband, Ashley. He and I have one daughter, Catie Beth and we are expecting a son in November. Catie Beth is a first grader here at Woodstation. The three of us love to spend time at the lake with our two dogs and take weekend trips to new places. We also love our Georgia Bulldogs!!

I have been at Woodstation for going on 4 years now. I truly believe that it is the best school in the world. I feel so honored and blessed to be a part of the great things going on here. I am having a blast in 2nd grade with my kiddos. We are having so much fun learning together. I have the most precious group in the world and I'm so excited to see them grow this year. I am also a coach for the Woodstation Dance Team. I love spending my Wednesday afternoons with those awesome girls!
